The last class I had for WordPress 101 was in May of this year.  So much has happened with WordPress since then I decided it was time to create a new and updated class.  WordPress 3.0+ is out with major changes in creating menus.   This truly makes it easy for the new user to create menus exactly like they want with ease.  The new template offered by WordPress is so much better than the old ones,  yes, they were good when they first came out, but the new Twenty Ten offers so much more capability.  Of course there are 1000′s of additional themes to choose from but this is a great place to start.

This class will focus on the basics of WordPress. Using the existing theme Twenty Ten and some plugins we will show you how to create a site that is yours only.  Plugins can be extremely powerful but how do you pick the right ones to use? Which graphics and videos plugins can you use to give yourself the look you want?  All of this will be covered in this class.

In addition, we will talk about Social Media on your site, SEO (Search Engine Optimization) as well as security.  All very important elements to creating a successful WordPress site.
