The last class I had for WordPress 101 was in May of this year. So much has happened with WordPress since then I decided it was time to create a new and updated class. WordPress 3.0+ is out with major changes in creating menus. This truly makes it easy for the new user to create menus exactly like they want with ease. The new template offered by WordPress is so much better than the old ones, yes, they were good when they first came out, but the new Twenty Ten offers so much more capability. Of course there are 1000′s of additional themes to choose from but this is a great place to start. Read the rest of this entry »

As I was working on a new site this weekend I was having some major issues with things showing up
– Ever since I started working with WordPress™, I have always disliked the sidebar admin panel on the dashboard. For some reason, I have a mental block with finding things there..it just seems to take me forever and time is money. Now maybe it’s just my brain not functioning right, you never know. Or at least, that’s what I’ve been told. But never mind that, I just ignore the comments. The Best Admin Panel Plug-in Ever for WordPress! However, last year I went on a quest to find something that would make things easier for me. I tried a few things, but they didn’t seem to be any better. But, I finally stumbled across the Ozh’ Admin Drop Down Menu plug-in. I don’t know how I missed it. I can’t tell you how much I love this plug-in. Now with every installation of WordPress™ the very first plug-in I install is this one. Talk about making my life easier! I deleted and started over. I used new plugins. Still nothing worked. So I continued to research the web and even called a couple of people. I’m not going to mention the original plugin right now because the developer is aware that there is a problem and that will be fixed in his next release. ( I wasn’t the only one having the problem) He’s very conscientious so I need to give him his due. There is a temporary fix for it (that’s why I won’t mention it here) but I didn’t know about it until after I decided on a different plugin.
